President Bush called the “Geneva accord,” the unofficial Middle East peace proposal, “productive.” Speaking at the White House on Thursday with Jordan’s King Abdullah, Bush said any agreement for the Middle East must include a Palestinian commitment to fight terror and the emergence of a Palestinian state. Bush said Israel must improve conditions for Palestinians, citing settlements, illegal outposts and the security barrier Israel is erecting in the West Bank.
