Dora Wasserman, the founder of Canada’s only Yiddish theater, died on Monday in Montreal at 84. Two of Wasserman’s finest Yiddish adaptations include Ted Allan’s “Lies My Father Told Me,” and Quebec playwright Michel Tremblay’s “Les Belles Soeurs,” staged as Di Shvegerin.
