Israel’s ambassador to Rome thanked Italy for the positive role it has played on Middle Eastern issues in the European Union. Ambassador Ehud Gol published what amounted to a thank-you letter Tuesday in the leading Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera, to mark the conclusion of Italy’s six-month tenure in the rotating E.U. presidency.
