The Supreme Court narrowly ruled that the words “under God” can remain in the Pledge of Allegiance. The court ruled Monday that the plaintiff in a case challenging the pledge’s constitutionality in his daughter’s school did not have standing because he was not her legal guardian, and therefore the Court of Appeals ruling against the pledge was reversed.
