American singer and actor Theodore Bikel arrives this week for a residency at a liberal Jewish community in the Polish capital. Jan Weinberg, chairman of Beit Warszawa, said Bikel, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, will be a guest of Beit Warszawa for two weeks, starting with Shabbat services this Friday.
