Israeli archaeologists uncovered a 5,000-year-old Canaanite city and a 2,000-year-old Jewish village from the Second Temple period. The two sites were unearthed alongside each other near the city of Modi’in in central Israel. The sites lie on a barren hilltop. The area of the sites was to be converted into an industrial zone, but the finds now will be displayed in an exhibition.
