A U.S. rabbinical group recently clinched a deal to bring Italian teens to New York and Jewish teens to Rome. In meetings with Father Norbert Hofmann, the Vatican’s liaison to Jews, Israel Singer, head of the World Jewish Congress, and Rabbi Jay Rosenbaum, a vice president of the North American Boards of Rabbis, received approval for a 10-day exchange program with the Pius IX High School in Rome.
