Egypt’s intelligence chief canceled a trip to Israel following the assassination of a senior Hamas terrorist in Syria. Omar Suleiman was expected in Jerusalem soon for the latest round of consultations on Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank, but canceled the visit Monday without giving an explanation.
