A foreign policy adviser to Sen. John Kerry said a Middle East envoy for a President Kerry would not place any pressure on Israel for concessions. Speaking to an American Israel Public Affairs Committee meeting Sunday in Hollywood, Fla., Richard Holbrooke, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said, “If we have an envoy, if we have an effort in the region, it is not at Israel’s expense.”
