Yasser Arafat hopes that President Bush will change his Middle East policies, a Palestinian official said. “I think that, like all Palestinians, he is waiting to see what President Bush is going to do to revert to a policy of peace rather than a policy of war,” Palestinian official Leila Shahid said Wednesday in France, where Arafat is undergoing medical treatment.
