Ariel Sharon met with Vice President Dick Cheney to follow up on Sharon’s summit with President Bush. Cheney and the Israeli prime minister met Tuesday in Washington, a day after the summit at Bush’s Texas ranch, when differences emerged between Israel and the United States over Israeli settlement expansion and the U.S.-driven “road map” peace plan.
