A European Commission leader told a delegation from the Conference of European Rabbis that he is concerned by E.U. member states’ failure to agree on legislation against racism, anti-Semitism and xenophobia. Franco Frattini, the European Commission’s vice president, added that he would present new proposals in that area that he hoped would be adopted in 2006.
