The judge in the leak case against two former staffers of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee said classified information laws bind civilians, including journalists. “Persons who have unauthorized possession, who come into unauthorized possession of classified information, must abide by the law,” U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III said last Friday. “That applies to academics, lawyers, journalists, professors, whatever.”
