A New York school district extended a voting day scheduled for Lag B’Omer following a Jewish petition. The East Ramapo Board of Education said Wednesday that polls will stay open May 16 for an extra two and a half hours to accommodate those celebrating the Jewish holiday, the Journal News reported.
