The United Nations said its peacekeepers in southern Lebanon are empowered to use force against Hezbollah. The UNIFIL peacekeeper force, which was more than doubled in strength under the U.N.-brokered cease-fire that ended the war between Israel and the Lebanese militia, published its rules of engagement this week.
