Jerusalem’s Biblical Zoo topped a list of popular
Israeli tourist sites. According to the Dun & Bradstreet ranking issued this
week, the zoo, known as the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens,
received nearly 690,000 visitors last year, making it the most popular paying
site in Israel. Next on the list were the Hamat Gader hot springs, Masada, the
Ramat Gan Safari and the Roman ruins of Caesarea. The ranking did not take into
account sites such as the Western Wall in Jerusalem, where access is
free.
