An Israeli entry won an international animated film
contest.The annual Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film this week awarded the prize for the best student entry to Ariel Belinco and Michael
Faust of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Their
six-minute film, “Beton” or “Concrete,” is about Israeli soldiers at a
checkpoint who face a dilemma over retrieving a kite that flies into Palestinian territory.
The two students shared a prize worth some $3,400.
