Natalie Portman has teamed up with the queen of Jordan in an anti-poverty drive. The actress, an Israeli native, and Queen Rania this month launched a drive by the Foundation for International Community Assistance to raise $200 million in loans for entrepreneurs in the developing world.

Portman, who appears on a MySpace clip about FINCA, said online campaigning was key for the initiative to work. “I have seen that ending poverty is possible — it is just a mouse click away,” the Financial Times quoted her as saying. “People check their MySpace pages 10 times a day, why not harness that tool to build support for microfinance?”
