Israel said it would “respond severely” a day after rocket fire from the Gaza Strip injured two Israelis, one moderately, in the southern town of Sderot.Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack. Israeli government officials called on the Palestinian Authority to prevent rocket attacks, at least 10 of which have occurred since last Friday, according to the military.
