Fire at Jewish camp called suspicious

A fire at a Canadian Jewish summer camp is being called suspicious. Quebec Police say they have evidence pointing to arson in the fire Tuesday at Val-David, the site of several summer camps for Orthodox Jews, the Canadian Press reported. One of its residence was halls destroyed in the blaze. No one was hurt. Val-David, an hour north of Montreal, also had a smaller fire Saturday. A Quebec Police spokeswoman said investigators “know for sure it’s a suspicious fire, but we cannot say right now if it’s an arson.”Investigators believe that somebody broke into the camp before Saturday’s fire, which caused little damage, adding to their suspicions about the fire on Tuesday.
