The first
co-produced Israeli-Polish movie started filming this week in Warsaw.

“Spring 1941,”
starring British Oscar-winner Joseph Fiennes, is the story of a
cellist’s return to Poland three decades after World War II and her recollections of the Nazi occupation. The movie is
based on stories by Ida Fink, a Holocaust survivor who immigrated to
Israel from Poland in 1957.

Israel’s Uri
Barbash is directing the $2.5 million film, which is being produced
by Poland’s Opus Film and Traxis Films of Israel.
