Troops operating near the border in central Gaza on Wednesday spotted an Islamic Jihad gunman and killed him in the ensuing clash. There were no Israeli casualties.
In northern Gaza, Israeli ground forces fired a rocket at a group of Palestinian terrorists that had launched eight mortar bombs across the border. Four Palestinians were wounded.
