An Israeli and her three daughters were held hostage by kidnappers in Russia for two months.

Israeli police announced this week the successful recovery of a Tel Aviv woman who was abducted, along with her three daughters, during a visit with relatives near Moscow in August.

The hostages managed to get hold of a telephone during their captivity and call relatives in Israel, who alerted the police. Russian authorities were contacted in turn, and rescued the four.

According to Israeli media, a main suspect in the kidnappings is an in-law of the victims who wanted to force them to hand over deeds to a property.
