The Bosnian Jewish community is asking the public to help find those who aided Jews during World War II.
In Sarajevo, Eli Tauber, who chronicles Jewish life in Bosnia, went on state television Monday and urged viewers to contact the Jewish community or the Institute for the Research of Crimes Against Humanity so that stories of heroism could be documented.
About 500 Jews live in Bosnia, which is part of the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Some 14,000 Jews lived in what today is Bosnia and Herzegovina before World War II; about 4,000 survived.
