An Ohio Jewish lawyer bought a new baby Jesus statue to replace one stolen from a Florida nativity scene.
Jeffrey Harris of Cincinnati replaced the baby Jesus in Bal Harbor, Fla., after reading news reports of its theft.
Officials who oversee the display in the town’s Founders Circle have attached a GPS device to the statue of the baby, as well as to the Joseph and Mary figures, to prevent future theft.
