Most Saudis harbor a deep dislike of Israel and the Jews, though they also dislike Osama bin Laden, a poll found.
The poll, conducted for Terror Free Tomorrow, a bipartisan group aiming to undermine worldwide support for terrorism, also found that an increasing number of Saudis view the United States favorably.
Some 30 percent of those polled said they favor a peace treaty that recognizes Israel, with 51 percent opposed. Eighty-nine percent have an unfavorable opinion of Jews; 6 percent view Jews favorably.
Forty percent expressed a favorable opinion of the United States, up from 11 percent in May 2006. At the same time, 50 percent have an unfavorable opinion, down from 89 percent.
Some 69 percent said they support strong and close relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Ten percent have a favorable opinion of Al-Qaida, and 15 percent view Bin Laden favorably.
The poll had a margin of error of 3 percent.
