Israeli troops and Shin Bet operatives killed at least eight Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants in Gaza.

The deaths resulted from three separate incidents in the Gaza Strip on Thursday. Among the dead was Mohammed Abdallah Murshad, the head of Islamic Jihad’s rocket and explosive manufacturing outfit in Gaza, who was killed with two others in a rocket attack, according to media reports.

Three others were killed when Israeli forces opened fire on their car, which was full of munitions. They were on their way to carry out a terrorist attack, Israel said.

Outside of Gaza, IDF forces also killed one of the bodyguards of Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Queria in Ramallah on Friday. The Israeli troops had come to arrest him after he was implicated in armed activity against Israel and providing weapons to other militants. When he opened fire on the IDF soldiers, they killed him.
