A National Council of Jewish Women leader was cited as one of the “21 Leaders for the 21st Century.”
Sammie Moshenberg, the NCJW’s director of Washington operations, was selected by Women’s eNews, a nonpartisan Web site devoted to women’s issues, for her social justice activism on Capitol Hill.
Moshenberg and the other leaders will be feted at a gala in New York City on May 21.
“This is quite an honor,” she said after receiving news of the award, “but this recognition does not just belong to me. I share this award with the many thousands of women, NCJW’s advocates, with whom I have worked with over the past 26 years to make a difference in the lives of women.”
