Okay, I admit it: Interviewing the secretary of state was a cool experience. But apparently Ha’aretz editor David Landau was even more excited than I was about a face-to-face with Condi Rice:
Landau, a British-born Orthodox Jew with dovish political views, also said he told Rice that “it had always been my wet dream to address the secretary of state” on these vital matters.
Did he feel the same way when Kissinger was running Foggy Bottom? Probably, he just wouldn’t have admitted it.
