Jewish leaders will take part in the World Economic Forum this week.
They will join the Council of 100, a group of political and religious leaders working to promote better relations between the Muslim and Western worlds, at the fourm in Davos, Switzerland, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The Jewish leaders invited as special guests are Rabbi Eric Yoffie, the president of the Union for Reform Judaism; David Harris, the executive director of the American Jewish Committee; Rabbi Berel Lazar, the head of the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS and one of Russia’s two chief rabbis; and Baroness Julia Neuberger, a member of the British House of Lords.
Council members Rabbi Awraham Soetendorp, the head of the European region of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, and Rabbi David Rosen, the international director of interreligious affairs for the American Jewish Committee, also will attend.
