The Reform youth movement awarded its highest honor to Jonathan “J.C.” Cohen.
Cohen, who directs the Union for Reform Judaism camp in Utica, Miss., was awarded the Lifetime Membership Award last week by the North American Federation of Temple Youth.
The award is presented to people who have worked with NFTY for more than seven years, mentored youth leaders, and embody the organization’s values. Cohen’s first summer at a URJ camp was in 1977.
