A Der Spiegel Magazine was banned in Egypt because of its portrayal of Mohammed and Islam.

The current special focus issue titled “Allah in the Occident: Islam and the Germans” was confiscated by the Egyptian government, according to reports in Der Spiegel online.

In a decision announced Tuesday via the state news agency Mena, Egyptian Information Minister Anas el-Feki faulted the magazine for repeating claims that Islam supports violence and terrorism, and that its goal is to replace Christianity.
