Airstrike kills Hamas gunman

An Israeli airstrike killed a Hamas gunman in the Gaza Strip.

Military aircraft attacked a group of Hamas gunmen near Gaza’s northern border with Israel early Tuesday, killing one and wounding three.

Israeli forces regularly target Palestinian terrorists near the Gaza frontier to prevent cross-border attacks.

Ahead of Memorial Day, which begins Tuesday night, Israel sealed the borders with Gaza and the West Bank as a precaution against terrorist infiltrations. The closure will be lifted after Israel’s 60th Independence Day, which begins Wednesday night and ends Thursday night.
