An Israeli woman visiting New Zealand surprised a group of workmen by stripping when they cat-called her.
The unnamed tourist was trying to withdraw money from an ATM in the northern town of Kerikeri when she heard suggestive whistles from construction workers, the New Zealand Press Association reported Thursday.
Surprising her harassers, she stripped bare and then, cash in hand, got dressed again, but was still questioned about the incident by police.
“She gave the explanation that she had been pestered by New Zealand men,” Peter Masters, a police sergeant, told NZPA. “She’s not an unattractive-looking lady.”
