Israeli troops killed two Palestinians as they tried to plant a mine near a key Gaza Strip border crossing.
Lookouts for the military garrison at Erez crossing spotted the men preparing to booby-trap a part of the border patrol fence nearby early Thursday.
Soldiers shot the two Palestinians dead. They were identified as members of Al-Aksa Brigades and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
