Technion scientist listed among MIT magazine’s top young scientists

An Israeli Arab scientist at the Technion was named one of the world’s top 35 young scientists by Technology Review Magazine.

Hossam Haick was selected from more than 300 nominees for his work on the development of an “electronic nose,” a device consisting of nano-sized sensors that can detect cancer in a person’s breath, according to a statement from American Friends of the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology.

Haick was selected by a panel of expert judges and editorial staff at Technology Review, which is M.I.T.’s magazine of innovation, for the list of 35 top scientists under age 35.
