Jewish artist German Gold was honored in Ukraine.
Gold, 75, was presented with the title “Honored Painter of Ukraine” last week by President Viktor Yuschenko “for his personal contribution to the national fine arts and considerable achievements in professional activities on the occasion of 70th anniversary of the Ukrainian National Union of Artists.”
Gold, a painter, draughtsman and aquarellist, has been a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1974.
