Robert Aronson reportedly will resign as the CEO of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit within the year.
Aronson, who has headed the federation for 20 years, informed the board of directors Monday of his intention, the Detroit News reported.
Late last year he became president of the Steinhardt Foundation for Jewish Life. Aronson had been working both jobs while splitting time between New York and Detroit.
Aronson will serve as a consultant for the organization, according to the Detroit News.
