Yawning Israeli Soldier Pardoned

An Israeli soldier jailed for yawning during a memorial ceremony for Yitzhak Rabin was pardoned.

Sgt. Almog Amran spent 10 days of a 21-day sentence in jail before being pardoned over the weekend.

Amran was sentenced for showing contempt for the ceremony honoring the assassinated Israeli prime minister held earlier this month at the Ramat David Air Force base.
