Armed Hezbollah rockets found pointing at Israel

JERUSALEM (JTA) – Lebanese troops discovered seven Katyusha rockets in southern Lebanon aimed at Israel.

Experts dismantled the rockets Thursday. The Associated Press reported that senior officers said the rocket’s timers were activated to fire overnight Thursday.

The missiles were found in an area that is known as a Hezbollah stronghold, about three miles from the border with Israel.

During a month-long war between Hezbollah and Israel in summer 2006, Hezbollah fired more than 40,000 missiles at Israel.
