WASHINGTON (JTA) — An anti-war group that has been accused of anti-Semitism will protest in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

The Answer – Act Now to Stop War and End Racism- Coalition announced its plans to protest Israel’s actions in Gaza on Friday at 4 p.m., and to subsequently march to the neighboring Egyptian Embassy. Other sponsors include the National Council of Arab Americans and the Muslim-American Society Freedom. The organization sponsored a similar demonstration at the State Department on Tuesday, which was followed by a march to the White House.

Answer has been accused of supporting terrorist groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas, and protests sponsored by the group have featured the burning of Israeli flags and anti-Semitic rhetoric and imagery, including comparisons of Israel to Nazis. The group was formed after the Sept. 11 attacks by members of the Workers’ World Party, and many of its leaders are reportedly affiliated with the Marxist-Leninist Party for Socialism and Liberation.
