JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel’s Supreme Court approved a request by the army to seal off a terrorist’s home.
On Monday the court agreed that the army could seal off two floors of a home in East Jerusalem that belongs to the family of the terrorist who killed eight students at the Mercaz HaRav yeshiva in Jerusalem in March.
Part of the home is rented to other residents. A temporary injunction against sealing off or demolishing the home had been in effect since September.
The measure is seen as a deterrent to future terrorists.
