WASHINGTON (JTA) — A former special counsel to President Bill Clinton has joined a high-profile Israel advocacy group as a spokesman.
Lanny Davis has been named a senior adviser and spokesman for The Israel Project, the organization announced in a news release. The release said Davis, an attorney and frequent television pundit, would be available on short notice to appear on United States and international media outlets.
"What is needed more than anything in this tragic situation for civilians on both sides is the truth," Davis said in a statement. "I hope to assist The Israel Project in getting all the facts out as soon as possible — to help correct misinformation and misstatements in the media as quickly as possible on TV, radio, in print media, and the Internet."
