We’re going to be keeping closer watch on how grants are flowing in the Jewish world — and we could use your help.

These are some of the grants that I have seen recently:
- The Weinberg Foundation gave $19 million to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. The largest grant it will give this year.
- Weinberg also gave a $1.8 million capital grant to Baltimore Homeless Services, $125,00 to Jewish Vocational Services (JVS) of Metro Detroit, $150,000 to House of Ruth of Baltimore, $370,000 over three years to Ronald McDonald House, and several other grants.
- The Eisner Foundation gave $1.25 million to Cal Institute for the Arts.
- The Eisner Foundation gave $150,000 to the House of Ruth of Los Angeles, among other grants.
- The Greater Milwaukee Foundation gave a $35,000 matching grant to Jewish Youth Foundation to help children with special needs.
- The Helen Bader Foundation gave $50,000 to Carroll U. in Wisconsin to help aging adults and $50,000 to the Acorn Housing Development Corp. in Milwaukee to help build affordable housing.
- The Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation gave $1,000,000 to Starfish Family Services to help poor families become self sufficient.
- Philip & Muriel Berman Foundation gave $1 million to the art museum in their name at Ursinus College. The Bermans previously established the Phillip an Muriel Berman Center for Jewish Studies at Lehigh University.
