Bolten joins RJC board

A former White House chief of staff is joining the Republican Jewish Coalition’s board of directors. The organization announced six new members of its board on Monday, including Josh Bolten. Here’s the RJC’s announcement:

The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) is pleased to announce the appointment of six new members to the RJC Board of Directors. At the annual RJC Winter Leadership Meeting last week, the Board voted to confirm the following new members: Josh Bolten, Sam Fox, Phyllis Greenberg Heideman, Steven L. Friedman, Fred E. Karlinsky, and Brent Sembler.
 
RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks said, "The RJC is delighted to welcome back Ambassador Sam Fox to the RJC leadership and we are proud to have such distinguished individuals join our Board of Directors. Their energy, insight, and commitment to the organization will contribute greatly to the RJC’s continued growth and success."
 
The new RJC Board of Directors members:
 
Josh Bolten (Washington, D.C.) – Josh recently served as White House chief of staff under President George W. Bush and as Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Josh brings tremendous policy and political experience to the RJC.
 
Sam Fox (St. Louis, MO) – Sam is the immediate past chairman of the RJC and most recently served as U.S. ambassador to Belgium.
 
Phyllis Greenberg Heideman (Washington, D.C.) – Phyllis is the managing partner of Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC, in Washington, D.C. She is very active in Jewish communal affairs, currently serving as co-chair of the Israel Forever Foundation, as a member of the B’nai B’rith International Board of Governors, and as chair of the March of the Living International Advisory Board.
 
Steven L. Freidman (Philadelphia, PA) – Steve is a partner in the law firm Duane Morris LLP in, where he practices in the area of corporate and commercial litigation. Steve currently serves as the co-chairman of the RJC Greater Philadelphia Chapter. He is very active in Jewish communal life and takes an active interest in Israeli politics.
 
Fred E. Karlinsky (Tallahassee, FL) – Fred is a partner in the law firm Colodny, Fass, Talenfeld, Karlinsky & Abate, P.A., where he specializes in insurance law and governmental consulting. He is a major GOP activist and fund-raiser in Florida and is an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Law.
 
Brent Sembler (St. Petersburg, FL) – Brent is vice chairman of The Sembler Company, one of the country’s most recognized shopping center development and management firms. Brent is currently a member of the RJC Vice Chairman’s Council and is a major political fund-raiser in Florida. He has been the finance chairman of numerous campaigns, including that of Gov. Charlie Crist.
