JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli English teacher from southern Israel testified before a United Nations body about life under the threat of Kassam rockets.
Shlomtzion Cohen, 30, testified in Geneva Tuesday before the U.N. Human Rights Council about how Israeli children and their teachers live under the threat of missiles and Palestinian terror from the Gaza Strip.
Cohen lives in a kibbutz near Sderot and teaches English to 12-year-olds.
She testified at the invitation of the Woman’s International Zionist Organization as part of the council’s discussion about human rights in Gaza and Israel.
