The members of the Islamic Movement gathered near the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday to prevent Jewish worshippers from ascending to the site, Ha’aretz reported. Jewish activists who were scheduled to gather at the Temple Mount for prayers but never arrived. Right-wing groups had called on Jewish worshippers to gather at the Jewish holy site for prayers.

Police prevented Muslim worshippers under the age of 50 from entering the Temple Mount for prayers Thursday due to fear of violence.
