JERUSALEM (JTA) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s review of Israel’s policy on the Middle East will likely be ready for his visit to Washington, an Israeli newspaper reported.

Ha’aretz reported Tuesday that the policy review is expected to be completed in time for Netanyahu’s scheduled mid-May meeting in Washington with President Obama, quoting an unnamed aide to the prime minister.

The aide said Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak were in close coordination on the issue.

The comment came after Barak told Ha’aretz Monday that he believes that Netanyahu’s diplomatic plan will be based on the principle of "two states for two nations," something the prime minister has not stated explicitly since taking office.
