The flow of Jewish philanthropic dollars

I always find it interesting to see how charity dollars hit the ground.

In late March, we posted here that the Genesis Philanthropy Group – a major foundation started recently by Russian oligarchs to help build a Russian speaking Diaspora – had given $10.8 million to Brandeis University to help fund scholarships in undergraduate and post graduate studies.

Then last week, I came across this on the Web site of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco advertising the scholarships.

If anyone is thinking about applying, let me know. I’d love to talk. I’m just following the money.
