NEW YORK (JTA) — One of the country’s largest Orthodox yeshivas is suffering a swine flu outbreak.
The Baltimore County Department of Health has confirmed that five students at the Ner Israel Rabbinical College in suburban Baltimore have tested positive for the H1N1 flu virus, the Baltimore Jewish Times reported.
None of the cases are considered serious, with the students suffering only from headaches and fever, not respiratory illnesses.
The health department is urging that all students at the school wash their hands.
